ABOUT ME

I'm a fairly down-to-earth guy, but I can also be very wacky and exuberant when I get excited about something. I love adventures, traveling, exploration, spirituality, exercise, music, a wide variety of things. I'm about 6' tall, thin, and I love to dance.

PHILOSOPHY

In my work, the philosophy has been "Shine a light on what is to be praised and what is to be criticized."
Personally, I try to be my own best friend and to take things slow. I know my priorities: 1.Health 2.Family 3.Faith 4.Friends 5.Joy 6th and last-Career.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I live with three Couchsurfers. That's how I first heard about this group. I've met lots of international tourists through it, but I've not yet done anything myself.

Interests

Movies, music (anything but gangsta rap or violent death metal), basketball, running, swing and salsa, travel and ancient cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies-mostly mainstream Hollywood and indie films, sci-fi, action, drama, comedy: I love Christopher Nolan's films, David O. Russell, Jim Jarmusch.
Music-I'm wide open, Peter Gabriel, Leonard Cohen, Natalie Merchant, Norah Jones, and then anything blues, swing, salsa, reggae, and world music.
Books- I read the Life of Pi, and it rekindled my faith in God.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Deja vu is an amazing and unexplainable experience that's happened to me a few times. I've seen 2-second moments in my dreams that later happened to me: usually though it's very trivial stuff, like random comments someone makes or things I was looking at on a computer. Still, it freaks me out and seems to indicate there's more to the world than what meets the eye!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very skilled at making videos, writing, shooting, editing, all of it. If anyone in the Couchsurfing community is looking to do a film and could use advice, I'll be glad to help.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll teach you a trick to remembering the Greek alphabet via the Beatles' Ob-La-Di, Ob-la-da.
