About Me

A friendly, responsible, honest, and respectful person who enjoys communication and helping others. On the flip side, being an introvert, I'm not one to always talk about himself.

In terms of my life journey, I spent most of my life in Iran, my birthplace and upbringing. In 2009, I relocated to Istanbul, Turkey, where I lived for two and a half years. Subsequently, I moved to Miami, USA, in 2012. Despite not finding satisfaction in Miami and feeling like I was wasting time, I decided to leave without a destination in mind. Following the wind, I ended up in Washington, D.C.!

My philosophy, which reflects much of my character, is to live life richly, not to get rich. I believe this encapsulates who I am. However, if you want to know more about me, I would say I am a friendly, responsible, and respectful person who likes to communicate and help others. On the other hand, I am also an introvert, so I don’t talk much about myself.
A brief overview of my life journey is that I spent most of my life in Iran, where I was born and raised. In 2009, I moved to Istanbul, Turkey, and lived there for two and a half years. Then I moved to Miami, USA, in 2012. I didn’t enjoy living in Miami and I felt like I was wasting my time there. Then I decided to leave Miami without knowing where to go next. I just followed the wind and ended up in Washington, D.C.! Currently, I reside in Bethesda, MD, a suburb of D.C., and I'm thoroughly enjoying my life. However, I prefer not to stay in one place, though I have no idea where I'll live next!
By the way, I’m a photographer. That might be something you care about!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Being a part of CS has brought me numerous positive experiences and cherished memories, but, like any journey, it also had its share of challenges. I’ve encountered both genuine surfers and impostors along the way. While hosting some fantastic and unforgettable guests, there were instances where individuals seemed oblivious to the essence of CS, viewing it solely as a source of free accommodation. I see CS as a facet of real life that facilitates personal growth—a chance to learn, connect with diverse individuals, and forge meaningful friendships worldwide. It’s a platform that fuels my eagerness to explore different people, places, cultures, and more. Couchsurfing remains a valuable tool in my quest for discovery.

Interests

Photography, Reading, Editing photos, Traveling, Designing and developing websites, Driving, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a completely unplanned 15,000 kilometer road trip across Europe by myself in just three months during the winter! My main goal was to create a photo book so I took thousands of photos of nature, people, cities, villages, etc. far more than I'll ever have the chance to edit.

Teach, Learn, Share

Experiences, memories, and stories are all on the table for sharing—whatever might interest you! Persian cooking is a skill I occasionally indulge in, and I'd be happy to guide you through it. If you're into photography, I offer basic training and welcome the opportunity to swap perspectives and learn from your photographic journey. Your stories, cultural insights, and even new recipes are things I'm eager to listen to and explore together.
