ABOUT ME

Hi there!I'm Daniel and to me couchsurfing is not a question of getting a cheap place to stay, but about meeting people in their every day surroundings. Just by entering a home you learn a thousand times more about a place, than you do by taking the tour-bus five times.I won't restrict my search to special kinds of people. You can be a rabbi, a broker or a vegan, but I will respect you if you are, if you respect people with other views in the same way.I'm really looking forward to meet all of you great people! :)

PHILOSOPHY

I believe everything is a social construction but not that this means we should deconstruct everything. Norms are necesary for people to live. What we can do is to be open to critique, new views and always self-reflect in order to get aware of inopportune social patterns.
In addition to this I think it's time to build alternative institutions in society in order to offer people a life pattern after decades of deconstruction in the name of individualism. What do you think?

And well, then I'm also not always trying to sound this wise! hehe

I've mostly just met up with people because I've never lived in a place where I could really host. However, I'v surfed a few times, re-hosted some times and hosted for real once.
