About Me

Hi, I'm Daniel :) I'm a musician, poet, artist, alt builder and wilderness explorer. I'm very spontaneous and fun, and love pushing the boundaries of what it means to be an infinite being that is having a human experience. I'm an authentic free thinker raised by wolves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Creative collaboration. I'm here to making lasting friendships, and help people. I also think it is more meaningful to sleep on someones floor and play them a song, than to support a hotel. Because karma is amazing, I seek to help and be helped.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book is "the Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. My second favorite book is "Ishmael" by David Quinn. I like pretty much any type of music that is good. The new era of music that I am ushering is going to be non-specific to genre. 5d OR BUST

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drove a semi truck 2 years. I went to England and Russia to talk about unschooling in front of 500 public school teachers as a nervous 16 year old. I have hitch-hiked to glacier national park and to a CS gathering in the Netherlands where I played to 200 people with just my voice and acoustic guitar. I screamed in peoples faces, got on the floor and knocked over furniture. It was great.
I've met Ken Robinson, Mr. Korfeld (Organizer of Woodstock).
I've toured with a band I made up called Gypsy Wildlife for over 6 months straight. I ran a car on vegetable oil for a year or so. I bicycled 140 miles in one day, after 70 the day before, then another 50 after, from Nashville to the mississippi river. I planned and booked a 3 month european tour in 2014, traveling around 12 countries with just my acoustic guitar and some songs I wrote. I moved to Tucson AZ for next to nothing on a whim. I hydro-planed a fully loaded 18 wheeler on the i-80 ramp in des moines Iowa, swerved in the other lane and narrowly regained control. I've been torn up, shook down, locked in, pushed out and I'm that much more alive because of it.

I can teach music, songwriting, table tennis and share stories. I enjoy learning from all types of life, but especially enjoy people who are older because they have a lot to teach.
