About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore divergent views and ideas.

ABOUT ME

Currently I am living in Atlanta working for an apartment finding company which keeps me fairly busy. I always gave a few things in the fire. In addition to my work I am formulating some ideas for a new fine art portfolio based some absurd conceptual work to counter the latest wave of photographs have seen in various gallerys. In addition to being an artist I am also a curator. Two years in the making I am building a mobile modular gallery and setting off on the road as soon as the funds work out. I would like to see much more of the country and the world.

PHILOSOPHY

I try not to think in absolutes. I am open to divergent opinions and ideas drifting into the scatalogical/absurd. I feel I have a lot to learn and I doubt there will be a day when I am not curious about one subject or another which suites my current fancy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just had my first stay in Dallas with a couple their roomates. It was great! It was the hightlight of my business trip and a wonderful introduction to what Dallas is about. They were very receptive and helpful. My views about Texas have changed drastically and I hope to visit again soon.

Interests

Oh man it is hard to narrow it down. My first love is Photography in its many incarnations. I am an alumnus of SCAD and have an appreciation for all fine art disciplines. I have drifted into the world of curating and museum and found the excitement that is in a show or performance piece to be invigorating. I have many projects right now as far as shows and conceptual work.
I consider myself well read but in all reality there are many that could trump me easily. I have a wide variety of interests as far as literature and non fiction works. In the last year I have read Atlas, The Histories, a book on Napoleon, Three Cups of Tea, Moorish Architecture, Pascal's Pensées, 37th City(about st Louis in the 1980s(Franzens)), The Hajj, War and Peace, Arabian Nights(1001), A History of the Middle East, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, The Corrections, Motherless Brooklyn, Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, Civilwarland, Future Shock, The Koran(bits and pieces) and a whole bunch more I cannot recall at the moment. I dig on Jazz; I played the cornet in high school and a little after. I also play piano to some degree though after a few years it has faded a bit. I am into classical, blues, hip-hop, whatever indie is really condsidered(i hope there will be a better name) It would take way too my space to recall all of them. Right now I am listening to Oh No, Bon Iver, Caribou, Miles Davis and the Akron Family.
