ABOUT ME

I used to see myself as a modern Gypsy i would spend 18 months somewhere and then move countries to explore and learn new things. I now think i have settled down as I have fallen in love with Colombia and the Colombian people

PHILOSOPHY

Simply that until you try or do something you have no right to judge anyone else for their choices. Live life as it is meant to be, live a mad dash cramming as many things in before the Jack jumps out of the box and gives you a heart attack.

Also Geeks are people too... we might be weird and strange but we will rule the world... rule the world i tell you .... (dont know how to spell the sound of a evil laugh so just play one in your head to yourself!)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Had a great first year and a bit on CS have managed to host 130+, between myself and my housemates in Bogota. I love where CS can take you. Have made some amazing new friends and have some great and fun times and conversations. It is always good to see someone else's view of the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got introduced to CS though a friend in July 2011 and jumped in with both feet. With trips and meetings and hosting everything has so far been very positive

Interests

love reading and learning new things. I strongly believe you should never stop learning. Which has led to being involved in some strange projects, for example getting qualified as a Bee Keeper while still working for the man in Public Relations

Movies Music Books..... Yes Yes YES! depending on my mood anything... though love Terry Pratchett, and if a movie is set in space in a far away place i will probably have seen it

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stayed on a native American reservation for a month living with the tribe, spear fishing in the Mississippi, deer hunting with bows and arrows(don't worry i only killed 27 trees), bear hunting (with a SLR Camera), climbing sugar loaf mountain, sleeping in tepees, dancing around bonfires. was an amazing month and miss them dearly they made me very welcome.

Christmas 2015 took me and my motorbike and some ever decreasing bags on over 4000km around the wonders of Colombia in 21 days. I do not even feel like I have scratched the surface, but I crossed the fingers of the Andes multiple times and plunged down below sea level, I visited the Waterfalls at the End of the World, rode through 15 national parks, and met so many amazing people, tried food from so many climates and cultures, all within this one amazing country.

love to learn to cook main courses ... for some reason my desserts and 'afters' always turn out wrong.... love learning about new things new points of view... back in UK was known as "the font of useless information" i inherited the title from my mother! we both have the view that no information is bad just how you use it so i like to collect facts figures stories
