About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To break free from expectations - to create my life

ABOUT ME

After getting laid off from my job in NY as a corporate lawyer two years ago I've been traveling, trying to find a new direction to go. First I volunteered in Israel on a Kibbutz (a small community in the desert where I mostly helped in the kitchen) then as an EMT First Responder. Now my travels have taken me to Busan where I'm an English teacher at a hagwon, a private English school

PHILOSOPHY

Be different. Be willing to challenge assumptions and be independent.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to meet fellow travelers who want a cheap place to stay and are also looking to make new friends. I also want to be able to use other peoples' couches - great way for cheap travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Lots of staying on friends' and my sister's couch in NYC when I moved back in with my mom. Not a good experience to move back home in your mid 20's...Haven't done any international couch surfing yet though.

Interests

Music - I play guitar at a local open mic. Screen golf, reading, martial arts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Beautiful sunsets over the Negev Desert in Israel. Flying through the streets of Ashdod, Israel as an EMT, and arriving on the scene of a carjacking and a stabbing victim. Creating a life for myself in Busan as an English teacher.

Teach, Learn, Share

A friend just posed this question to me...What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail? I wrote back, what if you're afraid of success too? I think about this all the time - fear, taking risks, what this means and how it controls my decisions and behavior.
