About Me

Hey there! My name is Daniel, I am 30 years old and I have been living in Berlin since 2010. I studied business administration with the main focus on the topic controlling, she is a veterinary. Now I am working as a accountant in an office of a successfull company selling attachements for mobile phones and other electronic devices all over the world.

I am a very open minded person with a lot of different interests, so you can talk with me about several topics. I like to go out and spend my time in parks enjoy the nature and take photos of it (photography is my passion). Also I like good music. Excepting hip hop I am listining to almost all kinds of music, depending on my mood :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing, because I really like the idea of it.
There are so many different lovely people living on our little planet. And this is a very exciting opportunity to get in contact with them. I think talking to people and learn something about them, their cultures, their countries, their way of life is maybe the most useful alternative to understand each other.

Until now I only use couchsurfing as a host. The first time I hostet somebody was in 2014, just to try it. But It was such a cool experience, I would never have expected. Then, because I was a bit busy, I have neglected my profile a little bit and just reactivated it in spring 2016. Now I am going to host more regularly.
And if I find the time to break free for a while, maybe in 2018, I definitley will try to do couchsurfing as well. I really want to travel eastern europe anytime...

Interests

My interests .... huuu, there are a lot.
I would say that my passion is photography. I really like to freeze special moments, atmospheres or situations for eternity. Over the time I purchased an ordinary equipment for doing it.

Another thing I really like is aviation. Flying is a special feeling of freedom I love so much. Before I went to Berlin I flew a glider for a few years, a plane without engine just using thermals. You can´t describe it ...
I hope to start again with flying in the very soon future.

Music, Movies, and Books

I´m fascinated in different kinds of music. Rock, pop, electro, or folk - If it is good and I feel in the right mood, I like to listen to nearly everything. Some bands I really love:
- AnnenMayKantereit
- Angels and Airwaves
- Pink Floyd

I don´t read very reagular, but If I pick up a book, I like to read non-fiction. Of course sometimes I also read a novel, but usually I read books of approved journalists, like Peter Sholl-Latour or something about science, like "A Brief History of Time" by Stephen Hawking (which I would recommend to anybody, it´s great).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As I wrote earlier, the best thing I did and I want to do again is flying by myself in a glider.
You can´t describe this awesome feeling!

Teach, Learn, Share

In my opinion my english is competent. So you can talk to me in a usual way ;)
But of course you´ll get better in speaking if you only speak. So for me it´s an great opportunity hosting foreign people to improve my english even further.
Also as I wrote I want to learn more about different cultures, countries and not least about you.

What can I teach?
Hmm, well I would say I can cook very good food (with or without meat), so we could do it togehter.
And if you want I could teach you a little bit about photography, maybe how to take photos without the automatic mode ;)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Denmark, England, France, Greece, Italy, Mauritius, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland
