About Me

I'm a freegan from Singapore. When in Singapore, I don't buy anything. Instead, I retrieve the things that other people no longer want, and I repurpose or reuse them for my own needs.

I co-founded a freegan community in Singapore, which gathers people like me to do free activities together, including dumpster diving (google it).

I also co-founded a food rescue group which saves unwanted and unsellable food from businesses. We rescue about 1500kg to 2000kg of food every week.

This freegan lifestyle of retrieving and reusing things that other people no longer want has enabled me to save a lot of money which I channel to travel and explore other places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet new people and discover places that only locals know about. I also like to talk to locals and find out what life is like from their perspective.

I usually travel with a lady, so it would be best if we had a private room. But we're flexible. I don't speak Bahasa Melayu, but she does.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to soundtracks of video games that I played when I was younger. I enjoy action movies, thrillers, and epics. I typically read non-fiction books, but my all-time favourite book is The Time Traveler's Wife.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Three times, I have done a staycation in Singapore for 4D3N, without spending any money. It's kind of like a retreat, and each time, it teaches me something about myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm fairly good with Excel. I can also show you how to set up a simple and free website. I can also show you how to cook a simple yet delicious dish with just a few key ingredients.

I'd love to learn about life from the perspectives of my hosts, particularly their stories and the favourite places they like to go.

I believe we can learn a lot from the food that we eat. Culture is shared over food. Friendships are built over shared meals. I'd love to share a meal with my host.
