I’m a documentary filmmaker, avid traveler, obsessive reader and a film & art lover. I also enjoy photography, cooking, design & architecture. I used to work in the fields of magazine and newspaper journalism, as well as humanitarian aid & development. I have written a number of travel books. I'm an easygoing and fun people person. My wife Annisa & I enjoy meeting new people from around the world.

I've traveled to many countries and have lived in 7 different countries, and these experiences have shaped who I am. My work involves very diverse and challenging creative projects (film, writing, etc.) so I get a lot of joy and freedom from that.
