About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience the world and its people with an open mind and heart.

ABOUT ME

I work in Theatre in Vancouver and am happy to say I am part of a beautiful family of people in my career. When I travelled Europe I met more beautiful people and now want to go back to meet even more! I delight in the complete random beauty of life and adore meeting new people, making new friends and trying new things. I have been enjoying wandering the cities of Europe, finding small Cafes to sit and watch and read and write, and falling into new friendships. I like hearing new music, going on hikes, going to shows, cooking dinner with and for people, playing board games on the deck, going out to the local pub, random dance parties, seeing the town and basically getting to know new people. I am a master of bad 80s dancing, and usually have a small stuffed purple duck named Frank in my purse. I have a bunny puppet that comes to work with me.

PHILOSOPHY

There are a few that I go by - I am a firm believer in staying in touch with the Children inside all of us - seeing the world with untainted wonder and not judging things right away. I try to do one thing everyday that scares me and I smile as much as possible. I also think that if you cant fix it with duck tape, you cant fix it at all. Love heals. And when it all comes down to it, things are the way they are and I may as well enjoy them!

"Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us: We ask ourselves who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of god. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory that is within us. It is not in some of us, it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was blessed to surf with incredibly open and beautiful people all across Europe. While I dont know that I can offer a couch in Vancouver, I can do my best to meet up for coffee, a drink, a walk, a talk, a dance, a frisbee toss, an ice skate and the list goes on. If the timing is right I might even be able to help people come see some shows for cheap or free! Yay opening night parties...right?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed with wonderful people in Frankfurt, Stockholm, London, Brussels, France, Rome, Vienna, Toronto, Warsaw and Berlin. I have hung out with surfers in Vancouver and Calgary, both locals and imports, and travelled with surfers in Austria, Poland and Germany.
