About Me

I live in a central neighborhood in the city of Haifa called HADAR, located in a walking distance (15 minutes walk) from the downtown commercial area of Hadar. Because Haifa has developed and expanded without planing in advance, Haifa has several commercial centers:

1. The Lower Town - the first part of Haifa populated by mostly Arab population surrounded by financial institutions, governmental institutions, offices, small industry and some growing nightlife area.

2. Hadar - ethnically mixed population surrounded by small shops, offices, food market and flea market.

3. The Carmel - higher socio-economical population surrounded by restaurants, coffee houses, pubs

Haifa started as a few Arab villages on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea and expanded into a city. of Haifa was built in the 1930's-1950's as a residential area for the rich and\or intellectuals. The Technion (technological academic institute) was built in HADAR and it was in HADAR until there was no more room for the Technion to expand, so in 1984 the Technion has completed the relocation to another part of Haifa. In recent years the old building of the Technion is functioning as a Technological Museum named TechnoDA'.

This neighborhood has some bars, small coffee shops, small grocery stores, antiques shops, second hand clothing and books shops. This neighborhood is like a small urban village in which everyone knows almost everything about the life of everyone else. Regardless if you are CouchSurfing at my house or not, I strongly recommend that you explore the atmosphere of MASSADA STREET.

I am listed as a member and i host through: Couchsurfing, Trustroots, and Be Welcome.

I am new in this apartment and the maximum capacity of guests has not yet been tested.

The first guests in this apartment started arriving in March 2022.
All the guests before 03/2022 have stayed at my previous apartment.

I can host several people traveling separately at the same time and quité often I do….

I have two guest rooms with beds for one couple and two individuals, a large living with enough space to fit several people as a public room and an open balcony (3 meters by 4 meters) with enough space for more people.

I am a flexible host.
If you want to arrive at anytime earlier or later, if you want leave sooner or stay longer, it's all good with me. Just be sure you let me know in ADVANCE what are your plans.

I started my own guestbook that I wish to have as a souvenir from all my guests. But sometimes I forget to ask people to write in it.
Please let me know if you are willing to write anything for me.

*I feel discomfort to ask for gifts from people. So I will just put it on my profile. I am a vegetarian. I love cheese.
Especially, I like the cheeses that are dominant.
You can bring some cheese or alcohol from your country.
In particular, I am curious about alcohol and cheese I never had before. There is a greater chance that I never had a specific kind of alcohol or cheese if it can’t be found in Israel.
From Latin America, I am very curious and interested in trying Agua Ardiente and Chicha.
I will be thankful just for your visit.
