ABOUT ME

I grew up moving all over. My step dad was like a cocklebur...sticking where ever the wind blew him.
I left the parents after high school to join the Navy as a photographer. The Navy dropped me off in So. Cal. I went to music school in Hollywood. The rockstar thing didn't happen. I did play in some fun bands though.
I put myself through college. I studied art & became a teacher. As much as I like hanging out with the li'l kiddies making art, the best things about my job are July & August.
I'm a very creative person. Drawing, painting, print making, throwing pots & hand building with clay, making furniture in the garage. I've always got some sort of creative project going on.
I like playing music. If it has strings on it, I'll figure something out & learn to play. My most fun instrument is my ukulele. It's portable & fun to play. How can anyone not like a ukulele. I take it hiking & camping, to the beach, and even to school.
My latest endeavor is brewing my own beer. I just made my 1st batch last month. What fun!

PHILOSOPHY

Keep an open mind & accept people for who they are. You cannot judge people by your standards. Give others the benefit of doubt. If they screw you over, move on & don't look back.

My travel adventures have included stints in youth hostels, host families, tents, huts in the jungle, and Hotel Ford, my pickup truck.

Movies..Hollywood is so 'Hollywood'. Foreign & indie films are usually a better choice.
Music AC/CD & Zeppelin to Sanatra & Peggy Lee. The old American Standards are just plain cool. Live music is fun. Sorry, techno just doesn't do much for me. I prefer real people playing real instruments.
