Hey! I'm Danylo. I'm 22 and I'm from Ukraine. Now I creating my new life as refugee in Germany in Freiburg.

I was born and grew up in Kharkiv, than mowed to Kyiv to study theater and in 2022, because of the war I moved to Germany. Now I living in Freiburg, learning German, singing in a choir, visiting acting classes, making perfomanses sometimes. I'm looking for new projects and trying to share mz expirience throught the art.

And of course travel. New places, locations, people are my biggest inspiration.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard a great phrase that will change my life: "I travel, not because I am rich, but I am rich because I travel."

For too long I pretended that I could handle everything myself, that I didn't need new people and acquaintances to change. But this is not true!
I need people, I need emotions, I need travel and I want to see the whole world in order to become a part of it.
I hope that the Couchsurfing community can share a part of their world with me and I will be happy to give a part of mine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I listen to very different music from new electronic music to Mozart. But there are two genres that I like the most, hip hop and pop.
Now I often listen to Kanye, Drake, Post Malone and many rap artists, but I also love listening to Adele's sad songs.
Films:
I really like superhero movies, but I also love watching Trier's hard drama. It all depends on the mood.
And I can always watch Netflix projects!
Books:
My favorite genre of books is fantasy. I have read hundreds of different fantasy books: King, Zelazny, Collins and others.
I also love adventure and detective stories!
My favorite book is "Shantaram" by Gregory David Roberts.

I become a Theater Director. Its a dream to make money from art and I trying to make it true.

I am happy to share my knowledge and I hope they will be useful to you.
I know a lot about theater and performance.
I know about acting.
I know Ukrainian and Russian and will help you learn if needed.
I understand the history and culture of Ukraine and will tell you a lot of interesting things.
I can cook a Ukranian traditional meals for you! Ukrainian cuisine is very tasty! And I can also teach you how to cook some traditional Ukrainian dishes.
I will be happy to spend time with the host, we can talk, walk, go to theaters, restaurants. I can share my personal experience.
And when you arrive in Ukraine, I can give you excursions and show you the most interesting and unusual places.
