Overview
About Me
Easy going person. I'm passionate about travel, music, film, art, reading and basically everything. I'm originally from Croatia, attended university in Italy, worked in my small town in Croatia for the next five years, and then I've moved to the beautiful city of Dublin, Ireland in 2014. Since then I've been working here as a software engineer and enjoying this amazingly friendly and cosmopolitan city.
My experience of living in different countries changed me and shaped my character in many different, positive ways. I'm very grateful for that. I enjoy traveling and meeting new people and exploring different places and cultures. I consider the whole world my home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to meet people from all over the world! Our planet is a beautiful place. Time is precious and we should use it wisely, that's why in my free time I choose to travel as much as possible and spend quality time with new found friends in amazing places.
Someday, hopefully in the next few years, I'd like to take a one year break from work and travel solo backpacking and couchsurfing around the world. So this is a way of giving something back to other people I've met along the way and who helped me during my trips.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to and appreciate many genres, but I listen the most to progressive, alternative, indie rock (Pink Floyd, Radiohead...), blues, jazz, world, guitar and instrumental music. I'm also learning to play the guitar (and have been doing so for over ten years :)
I like watching art movies, my favorite directors being Kubrick and Tarkovsky, and also mainstream movies, especially science fiction (Blade Runner, Star Trek fan...)
I used to read a lot, especially biographical and popular science books. Nowadays due to work I don't have much time to read, but sometimes I still do grab a book, go to a local coffee shop and try to forget about the world around me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled alone to Japan for 15 days in 2016, an incredible trip. It was nice to experience my favourite country and immerse myself in Japanese culture and meet so many amazing people along the way.
Of course, one amazing thing I've done is yet to be done.
Teach, Learn, Share
"Carpe diem", or seize the day! Every moment is precious. Never waste a single day.
I work as a software developer, so I can teach you programming and everything tech related.
I love having long discussions over a cup of coffee about pretty much anything. Most probably we'll end up discussing the meaning of life, the universe or another similar topic :)
I'm also learning Japanese and would love to practice the language more. In return, I can teach you Croatian, Italian and English.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer a comfortable couch in the living room of my small apartment in Dublin.
I can also show you around my hometown, the beautiful seaside suburban town of Dun Laoghaire, and the incredible, culturally and historically rich Dublin city, which I'm still exploring myself every day.
More importantly, I can share stories, laughs, drinks, hangout, have a meal and give you the best tips on how to survive and what to do and see in Dublin city and Ireland.
