I'm a russian student. 22 y.o. I hope that I am a kind and communicative person. Curious and open-minded. There are many things that interest me. I'm in love with traveling, music, cinematography, skateboarding, surfing. I like to learn foreign languages, now i'm learning French. I don't know what else i should tell you about myself, but I am ready to answer all the questions and keep the conversation going.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My hope and aim is to see and visit as much places on this planet as i could. To learn something new everyday.

I really like to make new acquaintances. I found for myself that people you meet on the road often make your trip unforgettable. It's nice to have friends all over the world.

Also it's a good way to practice language and learn more about local culture while accepting guests or when you are the guest.

Traveling for me is a form of escapism. I love it so much. But I'm a student, I have to pay for my studies and as you know my country doesn't have the best economy, so sometimes I can't afford hotels or airbnb. Couchsurfing is a great alternative. But that's not the point of it. If I request to stay it is not about the money - it's about the connection. I'm just saying honestly that sometimes there are both reasons why I'm asking for a place.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a music lover and I can enjoy practically every genre. It really depends on the emotional state. But I know and listen to lots of artists. Favorites are Pink Floyd, The Velvet Underground, BADBADNOTGOOD, Nicolas Jaar, The Doors, Hendrix, Mac DeMarco, blink-182, Seahaven, Turnstile, Beastie Boys, Enter Shikari, Title Fight, Ty Segall, Kid Cudi, Gang Starr, A Tribe Called Quest, Funkadelic. Cinema is everything. Here are some of my favorite directors: Andrey Tarkovsky, David Fincher, Paolo Sorrentino, Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese, Jim Jarmusch, Alejandro Inarritu, Guy Ritchie, Wes Anderson, Denis Villeneuve, Kevin Smith, Coen brothers, Alexander Paine, Francis Ford Coppola, Jean Luc Godard. Made a tour from Russia to Portugal and back (mostly using hitchhiking and couchsurfing)
