Hi there! I’m Danilo, originally from Brazil and currently in Switzerland to start my Master’s degree at HSLU. I’m curious, open-minded, and always looking to connect with people and cultures in a genuine way. I love deep conversations, spontaneous adventures, and discovering hidden gems in every city I visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve just arrived in Switzerland for my studies, and I’m currently looking for housing in Luzern during one of the toughest housing seasons. Accommodation prices are high, and my student budget is limited, so Couchsurfing could help me bridge this transition period while I search for a more permanent place.

More than just a place to sleep, I’m looking for cultural exchange and connection. I believe every person we meet has something unique to teach us, and I’d be happy to share stories from Brazil, travel tips, and my passion for exploring new places in return.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During 2023/2024, I spent 4 months backpacking across Brazil. From swimming in crystal-clear rivers in Bonito to hiking for days in the Chapada Diamantina, and sharing stories with strangers who became friends, it was an intense, eye-opening journey. I often traveled solo, relying on kindness, improvisation, and my ability to connect with people and I came back with a heart full of gratitude and a backpack full of stories.
