ABOUT ME

I'm 36, female. I'm a theatre grad and love creativity and inspiration. I was born in Cape Town, South Africa, lived in Korea for 6 years, and moved to China almost 3 years ago. In my time abroad I've traveled as much as I possible, which has not been nearly enough. I prefer slow travel. I like to talk to people, eat local food, get the inside track, and learn about culture.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted people on my couch in Korea. I haven't yet hosted in Beijing. I actually haven't surfed myself yet, but hope to soon. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined about a year before my life turned upside down. Before then I hosted a few times. I'm keen to get back into it now that I'm settled.

I've eaten a tarantula. I've climbed a glacier.

I'm a terrible guitar player.
I have actual training in basic mime skills: I can climb an imaginary ladder, walk on the spot, feel up the inside of a glass box, and float from an invisible balloon.
I can teach survival Korean, English, and Afrikaans.
