About Me

I'm completely fascinated by how people live in different ways around the world, which is why I wanted to try Couchsurfing! I describe myself as an open-minded girl, curious to explore the world! I've also been told that I'm a good listener! :)

I am currently on a short Business course in Italy, another opportunity to travel and meet locals!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To discover other people's cultures and make friends with the same passion for travelling. I'm only starting the travellers life, so I could really use some tips! Also, I like pushing myself out of the comfort zone, so I think that meeting people from different backgrounds is a great opportunity to deal with differences and exercise empathy!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've created my account a while ago just out of curiosity and to understand how it worked. But only last year I had the opportunity to start using it and really experiencing it, during my exchange period in the UK. Unfortunately, since I live in a small student room back in Brazil, I don't have any hosting experience, but I'm planning to do so as soon as I move somewhere bigger. I'm loving the concept and the people I've been meeting through the community, so it will be cool to contribute to this environment!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite music genre is rock, especially AC/DC, Linkin Park, Muse, Guns n' Roses, Bon Jovi, etc. I've had the opportunity to watch several music concerts, so I have some good stories to share about them. Besides rock, pretty much Brazilian music and pop (which I prefer to dance to). Unfortunately I don't play any music instruments. I've played the piano for some years, but I've sadly stopped when I started the university.

Regarding movies, Harry Potter!! Major fan!! I also love Amélie Poulain, Her, Medianeras, 500 days of Summer. Basically any colorful ones with a great soundtrack! Other titles are Inception, The Imitation Game, Life's Beautiful, etc. Also no shame to say that I like some cheesy ones, like mean girls or white chicks. They're good to have a laugh!

Books: I haven't been reading as much as I wanted to (has anyone?), but some of my favorites are: Harry Potter and the Phoenix Order, Milk and Honey, Fight Club, Fahrenheit 451.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to a music festival all by myself and had loads of fun! People are sometimes impressed by this because they would rather give up going to the concerts than going alone. In the Aerosmith concert I've even made some friends and one of them carried me in his shoulders during "Cryin'", which made me appear on TV kkkk

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always interested in learning some words in different languages, and I could do the same for you! Apart from abilities like that, I think the best part about Couchsurfing is the possibility to share stories and life experiences. That by itself teaches a lot!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Usually people mention cooking, but unfortunately I wasn't gifted with this ability hahahah I can help though (slicing ingredients, washing dishes, etc.)! Also my language, culture and stories!

Countries I’ve Visited
