Resumen
Sobre mí
Heyo! I am Dani. I'm boisterous, smiley, passionate, and sometimes a little nutty. I enjoy singing very loudly in the shower, recycling (I am that person that will walk an entire day with a huge bag of tins and bottles until I find a recycling bin), and eating pistachio gelato. Actually, eating anything is really one of my favorite things to do.
I am currently living in France as a teaching assistant and am looking for the big moment to switch into my desired field: international development and sustainability (totally broad but has anyone really decided what *exactly* they want to be doing in life? I got time!). Anyways, what I'd like to say is that I think I can be pretty damn interesting depending on how much sleep I got the night before, and I'd love to meet you and share a little piece of my life with you!
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I try to live my life to the fullest while, at the same time, giving my middle finger to the capitalist consumption machine that is mainstream tourism. Traveling isn't about consumption; it's about experience and learning and sharing, and that's exactly why I joined Couchsurfing!

Música, películas y libros
Movies: La la Land, When Harry Met Sally, Tracks, Wild, Mad Max: Fury Road, Populaire, Les Intouchables, The Lego Movie, French Kiss, Forrest Gump, to name a few
Music: I tend to prefer older to newer: The Beatles, AC/DC, Earth, Journey, Wind and Fire, Hall & Oats. I also love blues and jazz, like Frank Sinatra or Michael Bublé. Other favorites are Panic! At the Disco, Head and the Heart, The Lumineers, etc. Also I'm up for anything that makes me dance (T. Swift wuutt?)
Books: Half the Sky, The Power of New Ideas: Social Entrepreneurs, The Nightingale, Flowers for Algernon, Harry Potter (of course!), Marley & Me, and all others that make me cry and laugh at the same time.
Algo increíble que he hecho
Scuba diving and research in the Caribbean. Standing at the top of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome. Playing my clarinet in Carnegie Hall in New York City. Volunteering to help the physically disabled ride horses.
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I am an advanced French speaker and I plan on adding on Spanish and a fourth language, if possible, to my repertoire. I also play the clarinet, sing and absolutely adore performing musical and dramatic theatre! Yoga, cheese and Colorado craft beer are my jam. Also, I can totally become absorbed in a conversation on US politics, the international migrant crisis, or green economics for literally hours. So hopefully I'll have something interesting to add to the conversation when we meet up!
