About Me

ABOUT ME

Daniel from Israel. I am a nice and friendly guy, who is passionate about knowing new people, new cultures and especially the combination between culinary and culture.

I am in the beginning of 30s and have been an eternal student for eight years so far, completing another masters degree in Public Policy after finishing a masters in Psych.

I have been thrilled to experience countries and cities, through a more local perspective and get to know so many interesting and lovely people in recent years. I will be happy also to introduce you my own homeland Israel itself and the Israeli culture, in many social aspects.

CURRENT MISSION

In the sense of couchurfing and traveling, I would say making the world a better place to live. I believe that one of the most important mission of our generation is spreading education and bringing closer cultures and peoples in unmediated ways, so that people may understand that they are quite similar and have a lot in common living in the world. Therefore, I have been so excited to read about this outstanding project in the newspaper back then in 2007, and I immediately joined.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCH SURFING

I host travelers in our apartment in Jerusalem, with whom I think I can have good time and interesting culture exchange.

There are many types of travelers on CS and that it perfectly fine by me, but I have to write my expectations from potential guests, so we can have pleasant time together:

I am aware that people have interest to save money while traveling, and that is completely fine, cause I do it also. However, it cannot be the main reason for being here, but only a little part, in my view. When I host people in our apartment, I open my life, my routine and my home for you, as well as I invest a lot of time and effort in you.

Therefore, I look to host people who are interested in making genuine friendships, who are interested in mutual relations and who desire to share experiences. If this does not correspond with your intentions, turn to other people. Do not treat me as an accommodation service nor as your default. On the contrary, if you like my view, and think we can have meaningful moments together, please present yourself and tell me, why we will enjoy each other's company.

I only occasionally show around Jerusalem, as routine makes it harder, so take this into consideration if you expect something else.

Interests

Playing the guitar, surfing on the internet, watching movies, reading books and psychology, studying, hanging out with friends, hiking, traveling and photography. Music, and especially music that touches the heart and can arise emotions. I extremely love the combination between classical music and soft rock.
