ABOUT ME

I grew up in the beautiful and demented town of Medellin, Colombia and, following a series of unexpected events, ended up moving to the United States to study Film. I enjoy great places but above all great people. I’m very open, very laid-back and capable of sleeping anywhere.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I try make my dormitory available to anyone who happens to be in or around New Haven, CT but I really want people to visit me whenever I’m back home, in Medellin, because I feel it is a fascinating city that, like most of the country, has had very limited tourism due to the political situation (which is now greatly changed). I want people to visit me in Colombia, and I think I would make a great guide of both typical sites and underground nightlife.

Interests

Reading in parks, forgetting to breathe in scrubby cinemas, underground bars, walking around, about and inside big cities - especially if by night, dreaming in Spanish with English subtitles, taking hundreds of pictures and erasing most of them, fantasizing with ambitious film projects, eating falafel and baba ghanoush, meeting new people in new towns and listening to their music, Pink Floyd in trains and trying to understand just how absurd the world is.

Teach, Learn, Share

This is amazing! I love the communal aspects of Couch Surfing but I'm not sure what I can teach yet... photography, film editing, Spanish? I think any good conversation is teaching.
