About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am hoping to enter the century club (100 countries) in the next 5 years!

ABOUT ME

I am super flexible when I travel- and I travel a lot. Although I love to relax- I find it hard to do nothing when I travel- if I am in a foreign country- I want to see that country! I am an experiential traveler- I love to immerse myself in the culture, language and food, but I also appreciate the tourist traps as well.

Having lived in South America, Europe, Asia and North America- I feel I am pretty understanding and generally easy to get along with. I love to go out but I also love to stay home. Going dancing, off to a movie or show, or of course just going to a lounge works for me. Sitting at home with a movie or a book and cooking works as well. I run the "Witty Women Wine Club" in Washington DC - It is a great formal excuse to be with friends and family.

I love trying new foods etc. and don't really have any food restrictions- I am not a huge fan of raw tomatoes (cooked is fine) and olives. Fishy flavors are a bit too much as well, but I eat Mahi, Flounder, salmon etc. just not sardines, anchovies, canned tuna etc.

I am a bit of a neat freak but can survive a few days in an untidy environment. Dirty is what really gets to me... I don't mean dirt- I worked in development for years and worked in rural communities building clay homes and I enjoy the occasional mud sliding. I mean people who are just filthy... Leaving food out for days, not cleaning their bathroom etc... not for me.

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone is put in your life for a reason- learn from them what they were meant to teach you.

Life only gets better. :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In CouchSurfing? Haven't yet.

How I participate in life- I try to always live life to the fullest! Disfruta!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None- I am a 'CouchSurfing' (website) virgin. I do know a few people who are avid couch surfers and love it.

I myself am a professional couch surfer with years of travel around the world staying with friends and family to keep a tight budget! In fact as I write this I am surfing at a cousin's house in La Rochelle, France.

Interests

I am down to try just about anything once.

I am a big adventure girl- love anything outside... well perhaps not baseball, cricket and golf- it is too slow for me. I am a triathlete and played lacrosse in university. I was a swimmer for years and I love hiking and am willing to go camping for short trips- not crazy about a tent for more than a few days.

I enjoy yoga, cooking, reading a writing as well to relax a bit.

I have 2 cats and grew up with dogs, cats and fish- so I am an animal lover.

I will come back to this and fill more in as I think about it?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
