About Me

Recent college graduate with a passion for soccer, rock climbing, and hiking.
Work with special needs children in both school and home settings.

I go to Starbucks more than I'd like to admit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always found exploring new cultures, places, and food to be much more enjoyable with new people who know the area. While tourist spots will always exist, the best spots and experiences have always been those hidden gems I've discovered through people I've met while traveling. Generosity truly goes a long way when traveling and I've met people on my trips who have been so helpful in enriching my experiences. I hope through Couchsurfing I can find like minded people who enjoy leading others and taking them on adventures, and I hope I can do the same for them if they ever visit my city.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: It's quite a mix, but I usually like anything other than country. Some notables from a broad range of genres include John Mayer, Logic, John Legend, Drake, Mura Masa, The Lumineers, Weezer, Audioslave, Arctic Monkehs, Hans Zimmer, Ludovico Einaudi, and Rage Against the Machine.

Movies: My favorite all-time is Shawshank Redwmption. But some others I've really liked include Memento, The Pianist, The Magician, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, Lion, Moonlight, and Interstellar.

Books: My favorite author without a doubt is Haruki Murakami, and some other favorites include Cormac McCarthy, Jhumpa Lahiri, J.D. Salinger, and Ray Bradbury. My favorite book is "Catcher In the Rye".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I gave Nick Jonas a high-five. True story.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach some frisbee, soccer, and rock climbing technique. My parents hail from Bangladesh and Bengali culture is something I love sharing with others. (Though most people couldn't even point to it on a map!)

Countries I’ve Visited

Bangladesh, Canada, England, Qatar, United Arab Emirates

Countries I’ve Lived In

Bangladesh, United States
