Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Here are some insights from my experience with CS:
1. Cultural exchange is important. It makes the world beautiful and people more empathetic and open-minded.
I have enough travel experience to say that cultural exchange with CS works so much better than traveling with hotels and travel guides. I believe that isolation in hotel rooms cannot show you foreign culture as locals on CS.
2. After I've met so many couchsurfers: hosts and people on CS events, I think that I understood the philosophy of CS. It is open-mindedness, kindness, hospitality, empathy, and curiosity. If all people shared this philosophy and vision, the world would be a much better place.
3. Mass media want us to think that the world is an evil and dangerous place, while CS can show you that all people around the globe can be kind.

Interests

I love hitchhiking and take street photos during the trip. Also, I'm passionate about STEM and art. I can share with you many stories about biology, IT, and the history of rock music.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: nothing is better than old-school hard rock like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix. However, I also can listen to new genres
Movies: love independent movies that are not Hollywood blockbusters
