About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Exploring the world with all its interesting people and wonderful places
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Switzerland in a small town named Niederrohrdorf (3'000 residents) which is about 30 min from Zürich. After being an Au Pair in the US from July 2012 until July 2013:
-I started studying International Relations in Geneva,
-stopped after 1 semester,
-started working as a waitress at a restaurant,
-went on to being a Guest Service Agent at a hotel,
-left that position to go back to Geneva as an Au Pair to improve my French some more
-and in 2015 finally started studying again. Finished my Master‘s in Psychology three years ago and am now working as a school psychologist with kids and adolescents :)
I'm a loyal and reliable person who always has an open ear for everybody. I'm open minded and interested in history and other countries, languages and cultures.
PHILOSOPHY
"Goodness is the only investment that never fails."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT COUCHSURFING
I first came across couchsurfing during my year as an Au Pair in the US. My goal was to see as much of this country as possible during my stay. Always being on a budget made traveling quite a challenge but after one year I managed to have seen 15 States and countless cities - partly thanks to couchsurfing. What started as a solution for a tight budget quickly became a fascination. Already after my first stay I started to love the spirit of this community - its trust, its generosity, its kindness and the countless gestures of opening doors to strangers all over the world.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I had the chance to surf couches in New Orleans, San Francisco, LA and Nashville. Four unforgettable stays! Still haven't tried my first European couch though... hmmm...

Music, Movies, and Books
Couldn't live without books and music. I read and listen to everything I come across.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first trip in the US was to the Niagara Falls and I was just speechless. It's so beautiful and impressing.
But to sum it up: My whole Au Pair year is just one amazing and awesome journey and I'm so thankful for all the people I met on my way.
Teach, Learn, Share
What could I teach you? Maybe some of my language skills? How to cook a Swiss dish? Or how to decorate cupcakes/cakes? You decide..
What I wanna learn is to stay positive no matter what. I'm getting better but haven't mastered it yet, haha.
Something to share: Switzerland is NOT Sweden!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to discuss a wide variety of topics from politics, to culture, feminism, religion, languages, psychology. And I love to listen to and learn from others. There‘s always something you can learn from everyone.
