About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To become worldly and find good eats. Spent the last two summers trekking around western Europe and Japan, and now dreaming of future adventures.
ABOUT ME
Teaching my second year of high school math! I'm pretty quiet and reserved, but it just takes me a little bit to open up.
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live?
I'd rather spend money on experiences than objects (exception: food).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted a few people, but not a ton pass through my area. Once I have the space I'm going to start hosting again.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had great guests so far, especially when I showed up extremely late after getting a flat tire. Shared a few meals and conversations past my modest bedtime.
Interests
Lover of science fiction and fantasy, old and new: Books, movies, tv shows, comics. Lately been into mythology, particularly Norse and Celtic
Sports: College Football, NFL (Go Ravens!), MLS, it's all fun to watch and play when I get a chance
I can't brag about my skill, but I do enjoy spending an afternoon cooking. OOH, and boardgames. I'm always up for playing boardgames.

Music, Movies, and Books
TV/Movies: V For Vendetta, anything by Chris Nolan, Community, Parks and Rec, Firefly, DC-verse
Music: Classic Rock (especially Pink Floyd), ambient or instrumental, but I'm down for almost any kind of music
Books: Tolkien, Dresden Files, loving Brandon Sanderson, stories on mythology
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Met a man and woman in Hiroshima who shared their stories about The Bomb with me, showed me around their city, and had insightful conversations. Their outlook and attitude is inspiring and it made the one day I had to stay there totally worth it and truly amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Don't let anxiety stop you from experience. On that note, I need to take my own advice. I want to learn to be more independent, and less afraid of the unknown.
What I Can Share with Hosts
When I travel to a new place I'd love to get to know my hosts and get some tips about what to do and where to go. I can hopefully offer some interesting conversations and I'd love to share a meal, whether cooking at home or going out (you tell me the ingredients and I'll cover the cost).
