About Me

CURRENT MISSION

love to cross boarders!) YOU GET WHAT YOU GIVE

ABOUT ME

I was already born as a kind of international girl growing up with three different nationalities(a polish mum and a greek dad).think my origin is just 100% european!)
since my exchange to mexico in 2002 I started to travel by my own and as a student I have worked as a volunteer all over the world whenever I could. the places that I have been to and all the people i met just made every trip unique nad formed my personality. I guess i almost spread hostfamilies all over the world and lots of them came to visit me in europe.
In 2010 I was working as a ski and snowboardinstructor for people with any kind of disabilities and out of nowhere I got the job as the cocoach for the mexican paralympic ski alpine team which was one of the best life experiences i ever had. beeing at the paralympic wintergames was a joy and I admire all the athletes for what they have been doing with their disabilities. I love to make an impact on peopleo´s life if I can. i like teamwork and sometimes I can be a workoholic as well!
Since 2012 i graduated at medical school and after lots of travelling and working as a medical student in Brazil and Africa i wanted to start my residency in Brazil but unfortunatly they didn´t accept my medical diploma so in the end i found myseld in the capital of switzerland starting my residency as a childrens doctor. i never really planned to stay in Europe but Bern had so many international people that i Liked it. At the moment i am close to zürich at a smaller hospital with a great team and wonderful nature. To be honest daily life is domitaed by work especially when u are a resident but still i like it and whenever i got freetime i go out into the nature. Love hiking biking.
Beeing a good doctor means to find the right balance in life in between work, family, friends and activities as well! And that is a task for life=)
Currently I had to experience how it is to be on the other side as a patient cause suddenly i lost the sight at my right eye. I strongly believe that things do happen for a reason and that we can always improve ourselfes. So this experiences gave me many new different sights of life!
I love any kind of sports, cooking, travelling, nature and i am always curoius to discover new things My day just should have more than 24 hours.

PHILOSOPHY

A smile is something u can´t give away. it always comes back to you!!!!!!!!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since 2011 I have just discoverd CS. So far I have surfed several couches in Brazil which was fantastic! After that i was in Austria for a weekend and some places in switzerland. But since i started working at a hospital my freetime unfortunately is very limatated and it has been a while that I surfed a couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just joined CS before i went to life and work in Brazil in 2012. I was suppose to surf a couch for couple of days till I´ll find a room but finally I stayed more than 4 months at the same place and had a great experience with couchsurfing. From that time on anytime I surfed a couch it was just amazing. Now that i am a doctor my travelling manners don´t change at all and i prefer to meet local people rather than staying at a 4 star hotel. This is not what travelling is about.

Could teach u easily how to do that. I love to share my experiences, international food and optimism! I like to learn languages and could theach u some of those that I know.
