About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Hey guys, for staying at my place, please have references, two night maximum stay, and please note that I have a studio apartment so it is a bit of a small space, thanks!
Traveling, learning, and finding the most bizarre things in each place I visit.
I’ve had this profile since 2010 so I am very young in some of my pics! I’m too nostalgic to get rid of them, the later ones are more recent.
ABOUT ME
Hey CS, I live in Brooklyn now, where I do all sorts of whacky things and try to get by in the city.
I've been working on covid data for the last year and a half, I haven't used CS since before the pandemic so I'm trying to get back into it. Please note that I have a studio apartment so the couch is in a shared space, I got a room divider to help with privacy for guests.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to connect with people, I believe in people, that all people are inherently interesting. I like meeting people on the bus.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed a couple times, hosting when I can. I like co-op style positive communities like this one, and I really enjoy being a part of it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed in Baltimore, Maryland, USA for a couple of nights in 2010, we had a great time seeing different parts of the city and meeting wonderful couchsurfing people. Also couchsurfed around Mexico, El Salvador, Cambodia, and the Philippines. I have met some truly amazing people through this site!
I hosted a beautiful Palestinian gentleman named Fares while I was living in Oberlin, Ohio, USA.
I’ve hosted several people in Brooklyn, going well so far!

Music, Movies, and Books
The xx are my most listened to band on Spotify from the 2010s.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living with an indigenous Mayan family in the countryside of Guatemala for a week in 2011. It's crazy living that life, just for a little while, and experiencing perspectives you wouldn't otherwise.
Teach, Learn, Share
American homicide/crime rates peaked in 1991-1993 and declined until about 2015 when they started to rise again. Theories range from the end of the Crack epidemic to abortion being legalized in 1973 (fewer 18-20 yr olds). Both are suspect, but the most interesting and out there theory I've heard is that the phasing out of leaded gasoline in the 1970s led to less lead poisoning and higher IQ scores amongst young men by the early 1990s.
