Try new things, fill your passport with stamps, listen more than you talk, find out about other cultures through song / dance / cooking / chatting / sharing, have new experiences, try something new, go on adventures, laugh, do stupid things, push yourself, pull funny faces, have new experiences, meet new people, take lots of photos, don't be afraid, go somewhere weird, don't dismiss anything immediately - life is what happens whilst your busy making other plans so keep your mind, heart and eyes open!

I have done so many random amazing things on my travels I've kayacked with a slovenian olympic champ, floated in the dead sea, visited the tiny town arnold swartzenegger was born in, lived in Greece for 8 months, drove 11 countries in 2 weeks, stayed with bedouin in the Jordan desert, got chased by a monkey in cambodia, fired 6 guns, drove in rush hour traffic in downtown Amman (deserving of a medal I reckon!), hitchiked in eastern europe, drove from Uk to Bosnia and back, came face to face with 2 wild bears in romania, was in tahrir square during the egyptian revolution, bobsleighed in latvia, cycled from coast to coast across England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales....
