About Me

Hello there,

I just moved from Berlin to Attersee- close to Salzburg to take care of my grand mother who has cancer. What a crazy change in life style but I enjoy the challenge and fresh air :)

I was born in Kingston (GB) but grew up in Belgium. My Dad is German, my grand father is Greek and my grand mother is from Austria. Since 4 years Berlin is my home base- my playground and adventure place.

In March 2017 I finished my Master thesis in Intercultural Conflict Management. Next to studying I worked as a social worker with homeless people and refugees. Since then, I only work when I want to and only do things I am passionate and curious about.- what a privilege that is.

In January this year I returned from a 4 month travel in Colombia. I did not return into an apartment but I lived in a trailer park (Wagenburg) in a beautiful wooden trailer for the following three months and then moved into a house project of friends of mine just outside of the city. This is where I lived in a tent for 3 months up until coming here.

Things I love:
-climate justice movements such as "Ende Gelaende"
-reflecting upon consumption behavior- also a topic I enjoy to talk about with other people.
-skinny dipping
-chocolate
-being lazy
- hiking

Things I would love to learn more about:
- alternative lifestyles
- sewing
-repairing bikes
-solar panel systems for my hut

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to find people to hang out with, and to show them the area around Attersee.
We have a little hut in the top of a small hill. There is no toilet and no electricity but solar lamps and woods to take a dump :)
Also, you are free to set up a tent for the time you are here.

Interests

- my passion is connecting people and I believe I am quite good at it!!!
- Living without money - communicating, sharing, trading and learning new things
- sewing- how cool is it to be able to make your own clothes? I never learned but I would love to

-joining demonstrations and organising events in the field of climate justice and anti-racism
-organizing and working at music festivals:
positive drug work at parties and festivals- safe use, infomation and trip sitting
& anti-sexist awareness work
- massaging people against donation of any kind

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

end-of-life care for my grand mother

Teach, Learn, Share

if i had to put a lable on myself it would be a hedonistic feminist anarchist ;) all big words with many different meanings and many tools to live by and also many interesting toppics that go hand in hand with these big words.

I have learnt most of the knowledge I now live by from left-wing movements of all kinds. I enjoy civil disobedience such as protesting at the Hambach Forest

What I Can Share with Hosts

a tent, a bed in a tiny house, a bicycle

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Colombia, France, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Peru, Turkey, Uganda

Countries I’ve Lived In
