ABOUT ME

I am a 21 year old university student currently spending a semester studying in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I am studying history and education, and hope to someday work in a school, but not necessarily as a teacher. I can be anxious at times, but I try to be relaxed and go with the flow. I love traveling, and I hope to see as much of the world as possible. I also hope to live abroad someday or spend an extended period traveling.

PHILOSOPHY

Go with the flow, which I admit I don't always do, but I try to enjoy every minute, because who knows when I will have these experiences again.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I LOVE movies. My movie collection is over 150. I like almost everything except terror and suspense movies, but I am willing to watch anything once before placing judgment.

Music: I am pretty relaxed when it comes to music. I enjoy listening to Barenaked Ladies, Rod Stewart, Billy Joel, John Mayer, Elton John, Jake Armerding, Counting Crows, The Beatles, The Corrs, Dispatch, Green Day, Loggins & Messina, Rusted Root, Sarah McLachlan. Simon and Garfunkel, Zox, On The Surface, and Christine Baze. I also enjoy listening to musicals and choral music.

Books: I enjoy all kinds of books, but my favorites include; The Bell Jar, The Great Gatsby, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Much Ado About Nothing, Harry Potter, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught in an urban South African primary school where the children had little to no resources.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to knit. I know the American Sign Language alphabet. Also, I am quite good on a computer. I want to learn a foreign language, or at least basic phrases in another language.
