Welshman abroad. Have spent the last few months travelling in South America (Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, and Peru). Visiting friends in Michigan and am looking for places to stay in the Chicago, Boston, and New York areas.

I'm a huge football (soccer) fan and regularly go to games in my home town (Wrecsam). Also love music and films and anything cultural. Looking to discover the bits of the cities mentioned that only locals get to see.

I'm looking to discover the bits of the cities mentioned that only locals get to see. I'm also at the end of my travels so money is a little tighter than when I begin so this is a perfect opportunity to exchange cultures whilst saving a bit of cash.

In return for a bed I can teach you about Wales and Wrecsam. Two subjects I'm an expert in.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read Stoner by John Williams at the start of this trip and have to say it's well worth a look. Easily the best book I've bought in an airport
Huge punk fan - British punk, hardcore, all that stuff
I really like Afrobeat like Fela Kuti and am always open to discovering more
Trying to get into jazz so recommendations are always welcome.

Same goes for films too. Willing to give most things a go and am always open to catching a movie

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I feel like this is only going to set you up for disappointment. Did stand up once. It went awfully. and I died on my arse. Very embarrassing but glad I gave it a go.

Teach, Learn, Share

Have a bit of Spanish which I'm always looking to improve and work on. Also a load of history knowledge that rarely gets used. Apart from that music and film recommendations, too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Wrecsam club membership. Lots of Americans I've met have been pretty interested in that. Cultural exchange about a part of the UK you don't necessarily here much about.

Cooking and cleaning too. I've spent a few months in South America and have picked up some culinary habits from there. Let's have some mate.

A place to stay should you ever be in the North Wales area. Strongly recommend visiting Eryri.
