I'm an illustrator living in New York. I was born in Queens and raised about an hour outside of NYC . My parents are Ecuadorian and I grew up speaking both English and Spanish.

I love hearing stories about other people's travel adventures. Your favorite parts about traveling to the things that did not go as you planned. There is something about listening to people explain what it is like for them to be away from home that is humbling to me.

I used to work at a language center here in NY where students of all ages would stay anywhere from two weeks to a year learning and practicing English. My favorite part about working there was being in an environment with people from almost every continent and so many different countries.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing about two years but at the time I didn't really realize the extent and possibility of it. I only tried to find hosts maybe twice and had no success so I gave up. I am using it again because I will be traveling this coming May (2018) in Europe for a few weeks and am not entirely sure of where I will end up. It is not specifically for accommodations because I'm eager to use the meet-up part of this website as well, even locally here in New York.
What I really want to do is connect with people more. My favorite part about illustration is that it lets me share stories and if I can do that through our conversations or the places I see, I'd be a happy camper :)

兴趣

I hope to work as a storyboard artist in the future creating boards for films or animations. I work in various mediums but prefer the feel of traditional illustration more so than digital.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

This year in March I completed my first comic ever and will share it publicly next month at MoccaFest here in New York.
The idea for the comic came from a feeling of not being present in a place even when you are physically there.
