My name is Danny and I am a London-based languages student. I love my city and am always happy to show people how much there is to do in London (especially in terms of art, music and theatre), but I am also passionate about travelling and seeing new places and meeting new faces. I have a particular love for all things Latin American (I am half Peruvian) but have also had some amazing experiences in South East Asia, India and Spain/Europe.
Madrid is my favourite city away from me. I am fascinated by old and abandoned buildings, love a good ghost story, prefer funk&soul to R&B, enjoy solo travel, love camping/tenting.

I've heard fantastic things from people I met whilst backpacking in South East Asia in 2015 and know people who host. Whilst I am new to Couchsurfing, I hope to become an active part of the community and host/visit lots of people in the coming year. I am working in Colombia for the next year and will definitely be sticking my apartment up when I move in.
These sharing communities and platforms are what its all about. Some of my best and most memorable experiences have come from the generosity and openness of complete strangers...I hope that Couchsurfing will help create many more memories.

I always seek out new things to get involved.... I love writing my thoughts down and sharing them on my blog. I enjoy reviewing galleries, exhibitions and music events for two magazines - one based in London, the other in Spain.

In the final part of my trip in South East Asia, I promised that I would buy a special farm chicken for this family in Laos. They had kindly hosted me for a few days and asked if I could pick this chicken up from a market when I returned from my trip . I travelled for 4 days with this chicken in a cage strapped to my bike. I am happy to teach English and Spanish if people want crash-courses. I also love to talk about Latin American politics, literature and film. If you'd like to learn how to cook Peruvian food then I'm your guy :)
