I'm 30 and a professional musician. I travel the world with my a cappella group Accent (accentvocal.com). So far we've performed in U.S. Mexico, U.K., Germany, France, Sweden, Estonia, China and Russia. This year we have Finland and Denmark to add, as well as a bunch of other potential dates! I'm extroverted and love to travel and meet new people and learn about their stories. Sometimes my fiance Liz joins me as well :).

I'm a freelance musician otherwise. I'm a paid soloist in a local choir in Toronto and I write vocal arrangements for choirs around the world and give clinics and masterclasses on singing. I'd be happy to give a singing lesson to my host anytime!

I'm a spiritually conscious human with the utmost respect for anyone willing to let me/us into their homes. I want you to feel respected and understand that I am trustworthy. Good conversationalist who is comfort to be vulnerable and communicative. I truly appreciate genuine connection. Happy to have a conversation over Skype or Facetime for you to get a feel for my energy. My partner is very similar to me in these respects.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Brand new to couchsurfing and currently unverified. I know that this makes it less likely to want to host me, but the $80 startup fee is a little steep for me at the moment. I hope that how I write about myself can build some trust with people who can relate.

Hoping to use it to save me some $$ while I travel in the future! As a freelance musician it's hard to save enough money for personal travel.

I studied jazz in school so all the standards and all the famous folks who popularized it. Motown, R&B, 70s music, things you can dance to, but basically everything before the 90s. I'm a bit of an old spirit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Plank Walk In The Sky - a self guided 200 meter hike on the edge of a cliff in China. And Deep Water Solo - rock climbing cliffs over the ocean in Thailand with no ropes! I guess I can be a bit of an adrenaline junkie..

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach, share stories, pictures, experiences - you name it. I teach two clinics, vocal techniques for beginner singers, and a mindfulness in music / meditation workshop. Liz is a yoga teacher. She loves working with pre and post natal mamas, as well as restorative classes too.
