I was born and raised in Boulder and just recently graduated from the University of Colorado. My plan is to head to Southeast Asia in October and spend a few months there before I head over to Australia/New Zealand for a few more. Having lived in Colorado all of my life I haven't had the opportunity to see much of the world outside of North America.
I couldn't be more stoked about this trip and am hoping to meet all kinds of people through this website.

After hearing about this site from a friend, I knew it would be the best way to experience what it truly means to be abroad. While I'm not necessarily nervous about what lies ahead, having someone that would be able to give me a general lay of the land would definitely be nice so that I'm not a complete fish out of water. I'd love to be able to see through your eyes and live like you do, and not have to spend every night in a hostel with other backpackers that are more or less like myself. In the end, the most important part is the opportunity to meet people. The thing that differentiates hosts from other people is the innate generosity you know is already within them; only someone with a true kind heart would even host someone in the first place, and those are the kind of people I want to seek out while I'm there.
