About Me

I'm a Canadian traveller driving the east coast with my friend Rachael from university. We're looking to make some new friends and for a sweet place to stay!

I drove across the US in May after graduating uni, camping in National Parks throughout the country, then went to SE Asia. With no plans to return back home to Vancouver just yet, I'm excited to travel throughout Australia

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've also heard from friends that it's an amazing way to meet locals and travellers from around the world! Eventually when I'm based back in Vancouver, I want to be able to return the favour and host like minded adventurous, outgoing and eccentric travellers.

Interests

Anything outdoors, preferably with a beer at the end 😀

I spend as much of my time back home hiking, camping, skiing, and playing ice hockey. With very few ice rinks in this part of the world, and my skis back home, I've taken up surfing in my travels and I'm doing my best to improve

Music, Movies, and Books

My Spotify is a huge mix of indie, classic rock, rap, country, or whatever my discover weekly decides I need

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I crossed into China from Vietnam under a barbed wire fence. Heard from locals that it is a popular spot for illegal chicken trading, as chickens are the equivalent of 50,000 VND/kg in China, but 70,000 VND/kg in Vietnam. Unfortunately, I missed seeing it in action!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll cook you meals! For the past few years I cooked for 7 of my other housemates once a week (we all had our own night to cook), so you will likely get lucky and end up with lots of leftovers as I forget how to cook for just two people. Favourites include steak tacos and any type of curry, but I'm always happy to cook up something new!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Cambodia, Canada, England, France, Germany, Guatemala, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Myanmar, Netherlands, Poland, Scotland, Spain, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
