I am a teacher and sometimes writer currently living in central Texas. I am bookish and also outgoing. I am calmer than I used to be, but I still hope to live an engaged life. I'm generally never bored.

I logged onto Couchsurfing when I made the goal to travel more. This summer I'll get to hit the road for the first time in a while and I want to meet people as I go.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've surfed in Hawaii, and in between breaks I sat on my board and looked at the mountains and mainland.

I taught 180 students in one year, in one classroom. The second most amazing thing I've done.
