About Me

I study food movements and community development. When I'm not doing that, I seek adventure. I love cooking, camping, hiking, biking, and playing music. I love beer and whiskey too. As long as it's not Old Crow or Natty Ice I will probably enjoy it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to spend some time with rad, intelligent, like-minded people while I'm traveling the world, and I want to share or do whatever I can to help or entertain said people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- Tortoise, Cornelius, Thin Lizzy, Funkadelic, Bowie, Neil Young
Movies- Army of Darkness, Spirited Away, American Psycho. Usually anything Tarantino, Leone, F.F. Coppola, Lynch, Kubrick, Argento.
Books- The Value of Nothing, A Confederacy of Dunces

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I toured the United States in a sweaty conversion van with my old college band a few times.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook for people and will gladly cook with you so that we can learn from each other. If you let me stay at your place I will also buy us a round of drinks. I can talk your ear off about food justice and why community development needs to be more critical, but I won't ever bloviate in front of unwilling parties (unless I'm teaching your course, then you're screwed). Last but not least, I would love to learn more about how to make electronic music.
