Overview
About Me
I'm finishing my second year on extended leave from graduate school (also at my alma mater). Couchsurfing seems like a cool way to meet people and travel cheaply, so I decided to give it a shot!
I was a foreign-exchange student in Germany during high school, but I wanted to take too many classes here in the states to take my quarter abroad during college--something I do regret! I'm planning a trip to North Carolina and the east coast for 2016, but I want to wander much further.
Find me in the Bay Area if you're looking. Otherwise, happy travels.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm primarily looking for safe and clean workspaces while I travel as a student or research fellow. In the future I will consider accepting guests, but for now I'd like to use it as a couchsurfer.
Interests
My favorite things to do include reading, running, cycling, cooking, drawing, and writing. I try to dabble in a lot of different stuff. This year I've been learning Central African dance, and I used to play Japanese Taiko drums. On a rainy day I'm more than happy to curl up with a movie or TV show.

Teach, Learn, Share
I research the history of billboards and outdoor advertising in the United States. I won't give a long-winded explanation of my work here, but I hope to publish it when ready.
