À propos de moi

** I'm new to Couchsurfing! I fully appreciate the desire for hosts to be able to have my credibility vouched for, so please check out my 30 positive reviews as an Airbnb guest and host for now: https://www.airbnb.com/users/show/2795747 **

In January 2016, I decided to leave my home of five years in Washington DC to set off on a trip around the world. I convinced my employer to allow for me to continue in my job remotely, and proceeded to live and work from the homebase of 12 countries since as a digital nomad. I'm now actively exploring a move to New York or San Francisco.

I grew up in Chicago before moving to Washington DC, where I graduated from university in 2014 with a bachelors in political science and public policy. During my studies, I studied abroad for six months in Australia, and then backpacked solo for nearly two months through New Zealand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Japan afterwards. That trip hooked me to solo travel, and I proceeded to complete a post-graduate solo backpacking trip through Italy and Croatia in 2014.

I welcome any questions, so please don't hesitate to ask!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

A key part of travel for me is about building connection and sharing experiences with the people that I meet along the way.

I'm always eager to explore the local communities that I'm visiting through the eyes of locals, particularly the local food and music scene, as well as local gay nightlife. All about hidden gems off the tourist track!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

What's the fun in just one story?

I've dressed up in a zebra costume to direct traffic in La Paz, Bolivia; raved at Tomorrowland in Sao Paolo, Brazil; snuck into a black-tie gala at the home of a major designer in Florence, Italy; hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru; woken at the crack of dawn to catch the first sunlight hitting the Taj Mahal in Agra, India; partied on the beaches of Tel Aviv until the morning of Gay Pride; and gone skydiving over Wellington, New Zealand.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

Great conversation and questionable karaoke skills. Isn't that enough?
