About Me

I'm a musician that left the day job behind to go after what was important to me. I believe in making the most of the present as much as possible and to not worry about things that can't be changed. I've lived in Texas, New York and most recently Delaware with my wife and our cats.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a musician I need as many friends and couches to surf as possible and believe in returning the favor when I can. Hotel rooms also don't have the stories that people do. Whenever I go to any city or town I like to experience it from the perspective of someone that lives there and not strictly as a tourist.

Interests

Definitely music, both playing and listening. I read a lot of books and listen to audiobooks when I'm driving. Love to learn about history, science, technology, arts, and anything interesting. I like hiking, fishing, kayaking, and being outdoors. I like photography too but I'm still a noob.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Mostly I listen to singer/songwriters like Ryan Adams, Jason Isbell, Conor Oberst, and many others that I've had the pleasure to meet or play shows with from the folk and songwriter community. My favorites outside of that genre are far reaching from Jazz, Blues, Rock, Old Country, Alternative, and others.
Movies: Pretty much anything but gear more towards the ones that will make you think afterwords. Less explosions is ok.
Books: Fiction- Kerouac, McCarthy, Palahniuk, Vonnegut, anything weird
Non-Fiction - vast variety from history to self-help

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Toured from Maine to South Texas and back to New York in two weeks. Stayed with friends and family all but one night.

I can teach guitar, how to build a website, how to cook an amazing filet mingon
Would like to learn other languages, other instruments, how to draw and how to write better.
