ABOUT ME

Most of the descriptions in this profile apply to Danny, but Kalie is cool, too, I promise. I find that I can enjoy myself almost anywhere I go. I try to keep a low profile in life, if that makes sense. We both love the outdoors, but also the city if it has been made right. If you have a nice puppy or kitty, you might have a hard time getting our attention away from it.

Hosting in SF when we are there, and surfing when we are not. I also hope to get into creating my own CS events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met some amazing people from around the world, as a host and as a guest. When couchsurfing is done right, used as a means of exchange of minds and friendship, it's beautiful to see.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Deserts of Southwestern United States. Canyonlands National Park. I like the isolation in the desert (if you can get away from the crowds of the parks).

Teach, Learn, Share

A tip for baking great bread: buy some unglazed tile at a hardware store, and have them cut it so that you can line the entire shelf of your oven. This combined with spraying a bunch of water on the sides of the oven a couple times within the first couple minutes of baking, will create a great crust on your bread. You could just use a pizza stone instead. I like the extra room lining the shelf creates for making long baguettes, or two loaves at once.
