About Me
Hi, I'm a English teacher and languages maniac. I love travelling, meeting new people, discovering new cultures and sharing mine. I'm open-minded and very curious for life in general. I love talking about several topics.
I have studied Translation and Interpreting (English, German, Spanish) for four years in Soria (Spain) and one year abroad in Germany thanks to the Erasmus student exchange program. I learned a lot of German and surprisingly Italian too. It was a subject I was supposed to do there and besides I got some Italian friends as well.
Then I did a Master in Audiovisual Translation (dubbing, subtitling, video games translation) in Barcelona. It was the only way to mix my two passions: cinema and languages. There I could learn a little bit of Catalan.
Once my academic life was over, I moved to Laval (France) in order to live with my girlfriend. Since I couldn't find anything on translation, I got recycled into English teacher. At first I did it just for survival, economically speaking, but months went by and I learned to appreciate and enjoy this profession.
In August 2016 we moved to Lyon, and we try to make the most of the city and enjoying every single moment. There's so much to do around!

My first experience was in Münster (Germany), while I was looking for a place to live there, three couchsurfers hosted me. They were really nice! It was an amazing experience, it was really enriching.
I hosted a couple of times awesome travellers.
Interests
I love finding new adventures and experiences but I'd like to do it more often, that is, travelling as much as possible, practising languages and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies?
No matter what film which could make me think over a particular topic.
History, fantasy, sci-fi, comedies, biopics...
Charlie Kaufman's films are amazing. I like Quentin Tarantino's filmography too.
French comedies such as Danny Boon's ones.
Series such as the Big Bang theory, Game of Thrones, Vikings, Black Sails, Orange is the new Black...
Definitely, I'm a cinema junkie.
Music?
Once I was hooked on rap and just rap...
Now I'm more open-minded, I listen a little bit of everything. Folk, rock, reggae, root, jazz, classic, oldies (60's, 70's, 80's, 90's), etc.
But most of all Celtic music... That's what definitely makes me feel better, among others.
