Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm Danny. My pronouns are they/them. I like to explore new places and plumb the depths of myself for growth and creativity. I love people and I have a knack for working with them. I have lived in community with others for 10+ years and my housemates tell me I am a good mediator. I have my own business supporting adults with intellectual and developmental diversity -- I help individuals, families, and teams to communicate better, improve quality of life, and grow their skills.
I care deeply for the world. The qualities I value most are honesty and compassion. I strive to embody these with myself and others. I value building bridges across differences, and strive to grow my skills in antiracism and social justice.
I like to move my body - through dancing, hiking, swimming. I feel most alive when I am in nature...in the mountains, by the ocean, camping, next to a river. I love music (music name: Osprey). I have a passion for singing and songwriting - both performance and community singing. See my music bio below:
"Osprey plays ukulele and writes quirky, authentic lyrics about love, self-exploration, grief, gender, and our relationship with the planet. Their songs have spread across the country through the community singing circuit. Osprey’s catchy tunes go deep and stay in your head for days, but it’s all good because they hint at answers that are relevant to now. A blend of queer-folk-pop (with a hint of 90’s R and B), their songs are genuine, heartfelt, and easy to sing along to. See ospreyfliesthenest.com for more info."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I did was teach English, dance, and music as a volunteer in a remote village in the Himalayas. I spent six weeks exchanging knowledge, friendship, and cultural ideas with Nepali boys and girls ages 3-16.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach basics of voice care for singing (vocal warmups), and basic ukulele (provided you have a uke). I can also teach simple strategies for calming the mind, body, and nervous system.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to share a meal with folks, though I have a number of dietary restrictions so eating out can be a challenge. I can prepare and share a good home cooked meal though! I also enjoy deep conversations and sharing my music.
