I'm interested in the deepest questions about life. Why are we here? What are we capable of doing while we're here? What makes us who we are? Also, I like to laugh and just enjoy life. I'm interested in finding the common threads that tie people from all over the world together. Seems to me we have more in common then the news would lead us to believe.

I'm inspired to travel and meet people from other cultures by this quote from American author Mark Twain:

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime."

3 month long solo backpacking trip through Europe. Traveled from the USA to Serbia and back. Moved to Germany to experience the challenge, adventure, and benefits of adapting to a new language and culture. It hasn't always been easy, but it has been worth the effort.
