ABOUT ME

I am passionate about life, and always out in nature or driving somewhere to find a great camp spot. I am a gentle soul, who appreciates the complex beauty around us! I like to connect to people and hear what they think about the world. Always fascinated by culture and the way people live in this diverse world. I spent many days traveling, cycling and camping around Australia, and now I love sharing my knowledge and experience of my own country whilst learning from others. Recently I spent a year traveling overland from Mexico to Colombia, couchsurfing along the way and was so inspired!

One day I hope to build a cabin in the mountains and have an organic farm and make beer and cheese!

PHILOSOPHY

"Be the change you wish to see in the world". I love to be open to opportunities. Story telling and sharing are great ways to bring people together and exchange wisdom and thoughts. Writing and having time to your self to contemplate all the input we receive each day is great for the heart, mind and soul.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined whilst traveling through Central and South America. Now I am back in Australia I look forward to hosting people to return the incredible generosity I have received.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Amazing journey through Central America couchsurfing, from anything between camping on people´s roof tops, or sleeping out the back of a pizza restaurant! Every couch is unique and I carry all the stories happily onto the next one!

Music, Movies, and Books

Some favourite authors are George Orwell, Peter Matthieson, Wade Davis, Jared Diamond, Albert Camus, Ernest hemmingway, Carlos Fuentes, Bruce chatwin. Recently loved reading The Brief and Wonderous life of Oscar Wau. Reading a book while having a cold beer is a favourite past time!

Love reggae and blues because it gets inside you are effects your emotions. Recently saw an amazing concert with Quantic in Cartagena, Colombia.

I love sharing my music and books and getting recommendations from others. I know some great Aussie muscicians too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I cycle around Australia for 2 years.
I lived without electricity, in a remote camp for a year which was a great experience too.
Sailing from Panama to Colombia was a recent experince that was very inspiring!
I worked for a few months in a remote village in Colombia where we tracked Anacondas (i have photos!!!)

I can teach alot about Hiking/camping/navigation. Also the natural and cultural heritage of The Blue Mountains is a passion.
