¡Hola a todos/as!
Lo esencial de mí: me llamo Daniel y tengo 24. Vivo en Barrio Sur, Montevideo, junto a un amigo de toda la vida. Siempre listo para salir a tomar una cerveza bien fría. Me preocupa poner mi parte para dejar el mundo como un lugar (al menos) un poquito más justo que cuando llegué a el. Tengo la fortuna de trabajar en lo que me gusta: soy investigador asistente y me especializo en economía ambiental (así que sí, me he vuelto un poco freak del cambio climático). A la vez que quiero viajar por el mundo y experimentar otras culturas, me fascinan mi país y mi ciudad, y quiero compartirlos con quienes vienen a conocerlos… al final, creo que es por eso que estoy acá.

Hey there, everyone!
The essentials about me: my name is Daniel and I'm 24. I live in Barrio Sur, Montevideo, sharing room with an all-lifetime friend of mine. I'm always ready to have a cold beer. I'm concerned about working to make this world a fairer place - at least a little bit fairer. I'm fortunate enough to live out of what makes me happy: I work as a research assistant, being environmental economics my area of specialisation (so yep, I've become a bit of a climate change freak). I would love to travel around the world and experience new cultures, I am fascinated about my country and my city, and I'd be delighted to share them with those who come up to meet them.

Conocer y aprender de personas de otros lugares, y poder compartir un poco de los buenos momentos que tiene Montevideo para ofrecer al que viene de afuera. Creo que en ese intercambio se encuentra buena parte de la gracia de viajar, y Couch nos pone esa experiencia al alcance de la mano. Con mi novia y algunos amigos planeamos viajar alrededor del mundo el año que viene, ¡ojalá esto pueda volverse un ida y vuelta!

To meet and learn from people from other places, and to have the opportunity to share some of the great moments Montevideo has to offer to those who visit it. I believe that this exchange makes up one of the best things about traveling, and Couch makes a great job making that experience within reach. I'm planning to travel all around the world with my girlfriend and some friends next year, hope this becomes a roundtrip experience!
