ABOUT ME
I'm about to graduate college and looking to travel a lot for a year before I start applying to graduate school. I'm outgoing and like to relax and have a good time. I also like music, writing, drawing, and innovating.
Recently got a travel grant to go to England and am planning to go with my girlfriend from January 1st to January 20th. While in Europe, why not travel to other countries? So we're splitting up our time in England, Scotland, and Italy.
PHILOSOPHY
"The most beautiful emotion we can experience is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion that stands at the cradle of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead, a snuffed out candle"
-- Einstein
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness . . . Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime."
-- Mark Twain
"Thinking is the best way to travel"
-- Moody Blues

Teach, Learn, Share
My knowledge is focused on the origins of meaning and ways to enhance meaning. It begins at the turn of the 20th centry (but really way before that with Leonardo Devinchi and Samuel Johnson) with philosophers like William Empson, J. L. Austin, and Wittgenstein. Later to be addressed empirically by cognitive psychologists like Rocsh, George Lakoff, McClelland, and Herb Clark. Right now I am interested in connectionist modelling where I simulate cognitive structure with computer software.
This stuff is awefully heady. I'm also interested in anything cultured - from art, to plays, movies, or just having a good drink in a pub.
